Women's and Men's Spring-Summer 2024 Campaign
In a world full of fictionalized narratives and lifestyles turned into advertisements, the Prada Spring-Summer 2024 campaign brings to the fore our priorities that time cannot change. The basis of fashion is clothing, which is a part of our lives, and we see a reflection of this fact in the fashion show. On the podium, the narrative of “that moment” becomes stronger and encompasses the entire season.
The pure and clear portraits reflected through Willy Vanderperre's lens capture the balance between a spontaneous sense of privacy and an elegant interpretation of formalism, showcasing the personalities of each of the 40 models in the fashion show. In the campaign where we will see familiar and new faces, each woman finds support, encouragement, and a space for expression through individual portraits. Focusing on the woman and the clothes she carries, the lens describes the ever-changing concepts of femininity. These portraits, which reveal the division between the singular and the collective in all their depth, manage to be both individual and part of a larger whole. While portraits reflect the flow of the fashion show, they also establish a deeper relationship with fashion, both as a sign of belonging and as an expression of one's own character. Prada reminds us that fashion is a collective process.
Just like the world of cinema, where actors are appreciated for their natural and unique talents, which also requires collective effort and individual work. The tradition of Hollywood actors representing the Prada man continues with three internationally renowned actors and creatives: Harris Dickinson, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Troy Sivan. Here, we embrace the players' own characters. They play themselves in this role. We see the actors, who are the heroes of their own stories, side by side in the photographs.
